WRIR 97.3 DJ and Style freelance contributor Shannon Cleary have been putting on this show, featuring local bands, for seven years now, and he deserves props not only for band awareness, but for helping raise money for WRIR. This year, the party takes place Friday, July 21, and Saturday, July 22, at Strange Matter. We can’t list all the bands here, but highlights of Friday night’s slate include Sports Bar, Camp Howard and singer and songwriter Saw Black. Saturday’s bill features a closing dance party organized by Ice Cream Social, local hip-hop from Black Liquid and McKinley Dixon, as well a set by Opin. $7 cover charge each night. wrir.org.
