Event Pick: VibeFest at Max’s Positive Vibe Café

Sunday, May 31

Sunday is a day of rest. The only thing that can make it better is if that day of tranquility also can help people in need without you having to lift a finger. One of those glorious occasions is Sunday, May 31. That’s when the 14th annual VibeFest, a music and food festival that raises funds for the Positive Vibe Foundation, takes place at Max’s Positive Vibe Café. It will feature the indigenously made sounds of the Taters, Tin Can Fish Band, Danger Live Snakes, the Hullabaloos, Janet Martin, the Trongone Band and others. The celebration helps the local nonprofit and restaurant prepare people with cognitive or physical disabilities for paid employment in the food service industry. A victory for all concerned, the Sunday of charitable leisurely delights begins at noon with live music till 7. Suggested admission is a donation of $5, but feel free to give more if you have it to give. positiveviberva.com.
