A recent transplant from Brooklyn, New York, singer and multi-instrumentalist M.T. Davidson is a mesmerizing performer, whose high, confident vocals occasionally conjure ethereal performers of the past such as Tim Buckley. His work can be lovely, sad, even joyously transcendent, all in the space of one song. His band, Twain, performs Tuesday, May 30, with Skyway Man, formerly James Wallace and the Naked Light, and Big Kitty from Sebastopol, California. Music starts at 8 p.m. $7. gallery5arts.org.
