Did you know that Virginia sends a higher percentage of its school kids to law enforcement than any other state in the country? Those who care about helping disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline can show up with like-minded folks to march in the third annual Juvenile Justice parade on Friday, Nov. 3. You’ll be honoring and celebrating the voices of youth affected by this tragic situation. Participants will be provided signs, posters and banners. Gather at East Marshall and Ninth streets, and the parade will end at Art 180’s youth gallery, Atlas, currently playing host to the “My Reality” virtual reality exhibition. 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. art180.org.
