The State Fair of Virginia once again will fill early autumn days and nights with a cornucopia of high- and low-brow entertainment at Meadow Event Park. The annual 10-day celebration of indigenous culture features carnival rides, vendors, exhibitions, competitions and history lessons with myriad ingestible options from Friday, Sept. 25, though Sunday, Oct. 4. Musical highlights include headline performances by national acts Little River Band, Steep Canyon Rangers, the Tams and the Charlie Daniels Band, playing with Richmond country music favorites Jackass Flats, Cedar Creek, Jackson Ward and Harley Boone.
