Do you know what evil lurks in the hearts of men? Then either you’re old, have a passing knowledge of American radio history — or both. To those who don’t, the answer is “The Shadow,” one of most popular serialized crime dramas of the 20th century. On Sunday, Aug. 7, you can relive the glory age of broadcast storytelling when the Firehouse Radio Players take the stage at the Firehouse Theatre. Directed by Starlet Knight, the hour-long show will feature a tale from the crime-fighting, preteen detectives the Doyle Sisters, as well as the gala game show, “I Guess You’re Right,” and interplanetary escapades from “The Thrilling Adventures of Captain Fremulon.” The fast-paced surrey of vintage AM radio drama, comedy, music and curveballs begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8-$10.
