I don’t know how it happened. Richmond has become a fermented hub of craft breweries. While I worry about the effect this ceaseless influx of alcohol merchants will have on our water supply, craft breweries are here to stay, as long as supplies last, anyway. On Friday, Nov. 4, you can acquaint yourself with the latest, handcrafted creations of 15 local breweries at the third annual Craft Beer Harvest at Willow Lawn. The sudsy sipping social also will feature a stein-holding contest, giveaways, a $1,000 shopping-spree drawing and an area for children to frolic and be merry. Providing the soundtrack for the indoor-outdoor soiree will be Richmond roots rockers the Jangling Reinharts. Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Virginia. You can get your drink on from 6-9 p.m. Free admission and $7 beer tickets. willowlawn.com.
