The Bush League is low-down, dirty and mean. To put it another way, if its music took human form in a darkened alley, most people would walk the other way. The electrified barroom blues that the Richmond group puts forth takes the minimalist brutality of 1950s Chicago electric blues and injects it with no-nonsense rock ’n’ roll. It’s a simple recipe, but one that few can master. The Bush League nails blues rock with a vengeance on its 2015 full-length release, “Didn’t See This Coming.” From the slow burn of “Can of Gas and a Match” to the fist-pumping stampede of “Kick Up Yo’ Heels,” the group’s music packs a mighty punch. It’s not a music you would ever want to get in a fight with because you’d either have to kill it or it would kill you. The Bush League steps into the ring Friday, Feb. 12, at the Tin Pan. Doors open at 6 p.m. $10. tinpanrva.com.
