Take a deep breath, people. Don’t know about you, but more peace sounds like a healthy thing about now, or anytime really — but especially now. This festival is an annual celebration of cultural diversity and faith here in Richmond, and, as noted on the Richmond Peace Festival’s Facebook page, it “recognizes the importance of providing a safe space for people of all backgrounds.” Now in its 13th year, the festival at St. Joseph’s Villa on Sunday, Oct. 1, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. will feature many lively performers including Ezibu Muntu African Drummers, the Latin Ballet of Virginia, Falun Dafa Chinese dancers, Sri Sai South Indian Dance Academy, Ram Bhagat Drums No Guns, slam poet Ebraheem Khabeer and a spoken-word competition. Free. It’s at 8000 Brook Road For information, go to rvapeacefestival.org.
