To immerse yourself in the local creative class, there’s one place to be Saturday, April 16: Hardywood Park Craft Brewery. The Richmond party palace is host to Spring Bada-bing from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. The Richmond Craft Mafia will hold its juried, independent craft show, featuring a variety of handmade works by more than 40 capital city artisans. For only $5, you can take advantage of the early bird shopping hour from 10-11 a.m. Proceeds raised during the advance period go to benefit Art 180. After the bonanza of arts and crafts, Richmond movie enthusiasts at the Bijou Film Center will celebrate the success of their first fundraising campaign to create a permanent home for independent cinema in the city. With host Chuck Wrenn, there will be film screenings, cinematic soundtrack selections by DJ Carlito and live performances by Grass Panther, Big Boss Combo and the Green Hearts.
