The worst thing about hanging out with married couples is listening to them bicker. Anyone who’s ever had to endure such social buzz killing knows that these types of terrible twosomes are why most relatively sane people avoid marriage in the first place. And then there’s Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally — the critically acclaimed, husband-and-wife comedy duo who take the airing of dirty laundry and turn it into a high-art form. The couple brings their darkly comedic confessional, “Summer of 69: No Apostrophe,” to the Carpenter Theatre on Saturday, Aug. 13. With a brutally honest mix of confession, dance, music and theater, Offerman and Mullally deadpan their way through the trials, tribulations and (occasional) triumphs of matrimony in the 21st century.
