Former Drive-By Truckers guitarist Jason Isbell is one of the leading lights of the new song-driven, alt-country crop. And the Alabamian has many fans in these parts. He just won his first two Grammy Awards for his acclaimed 2015 release “Something More Than Free,” which took home best Americana and best American roots song, and Isbell continues to prove that he’s a consummate storyteller who relates to his fans, big-time. This time out, he has guests Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls opening the show. Turner is an English folk singer and songwriter from Meonstoke, Hampshire, who began his career as the lead singer for post-hardcore group Million Dead, then went mostly acoustic following that band’s split in 2005. His latest album is titled “Positive Songs for Negative People.” It should be an interesting show. The concert takes place on Tuesday, June 21, at Altria Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $29.50 to $49.50.
