Oh, lawd, Leon’s in the house. Don’t be mumbling. Comedian J.B. Smoove, best known for his hilariously blunt character Leon Black on HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is returning to Richmond with his stand-up and a new book in tow. The Plymouth, North Carolina, native and former dancer told Style in 2012 about his highly physical stand-up act: “Stand-up rules are: You punch somebody in the face before you’re out. Sometimes you don’t get that in sketch comedy, a lot of gears have to work.” Smoove is a sweet, life-of-the-party guy in person, his new work “The Book of Leon: Philosophy of a Fool” (Simon and Schuster) was just released, and he will most definitely bring the ruckus on Thursday, Nov. 3, and Friday, Nov. 4, at Funny Bone. Two shows each night. $30. richmond.funnybone.com.
