Just when you thought there couldn’t be another reason to visit Richmond’s hotshot neighborhood, Scott’s Addition, there’s InLight. Organized by 1708 Gallery, the free public exhibition of light-based art and juried work happens Friday, Nov. 11, from 7 p.m. till midnight. The popular show features 11 projects from Richmond-based artists. Some things to look for: Art on Wheels’ life-size Lite-Brite (I loved those!), projects from Afrikana Independent Film Fest and Studio Two Three and an InLight Beer from Isley Brewing Co. There’s also a collaboration with Iridian Gallery with an artist named Circe Strauss that uses an aerial rigging system of pulleys and lights to replicate swarming birds. Sold.
