What better movie to base a quirky rock musical on than the cult classic from 1989, “Heathers”? That highly entertaining and dark send-up of high school cliques that pitted a malicious crew of popular Heathers against sensitive Wynona Ryder while birthing a thousand memorable movie lines, such as one character’s dying gasp of “Corn Nuts!” before falling through a glass coffee table. This should be a whole lot of campy fun. It’s a co-production of Firehouse Theatre and TheatreLab directed by Debra Clinton and running at Firehouse from June 23 through July 17. We can’t wait to hear tunes such as “Big Fun” and “The Me Inside of Me.” $15 to $30. firehousetheatre.org.
