The members of the Bobby “Blackhat” Walters Band know exactly what they want and how to get it. They want to rekindle the fire and heap a couple of logs of their own onto the eternal flame of American electric blues. Pure, simple and most importantly danceable, the award-winning mannish boys from Newport News headline the Bad to the Bone Blues Bash on Sunday, July 31, at the Henrico Theatre. Sponsored by Whole Note Music, the night of wang dang doodling includes sets by mojo workers De Lady E. and the Lawrence Olds Band.
