Annabelle’s Curse is to give voice to ghosts. The apparitional approach employed by the Bristol-based, alt-country quintet gives its music a timeless feel. Its 2015 release, “Worn Out Skin,” is woven in a coat of banjos, mandolins, guitars and percussion for singers Tim Kilbourne and Carly Booher to wear. The wistful longing of “Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing” has the hypnotic feel of a Simon and Garfunkel ballad. When singing together, Kilbourne and Booher’s voices seem to weave in and out of each other. Compositions such as “Beneath the Clouded Moon,” “Skinny Dipping” and “Rich Valley” illustrate their uncanny knack to make you believe you’re the only one being played to. Annabelle’s Curse plays Saturday, April 2, at the Tin Pan. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the music starting at 8. $10. tinpanrva.com.
