Well, this sounds mysterious. Another First Friday opening, 130 Years of Übercorp, bills itself as a historical exhibition of Richmond’s “most obscure and prolific company” formed in 1887 by a German immigrant, only to grow to become a “powerful force in the pharmaceutical world.” The show at Gallery5 features memorabilia and objects from the collections of more than 30 artists and music by League of Space Pirates, Flashlight Tag and Maximum Zero. It’s curated by artist Noah Scalin, so you know it’s gonna be funky, the event runs from 6 p.m. to midnight. gallery5arts.org.
