Imagine the members of local rock band Goldrush towering over the city and decimating everything in their path. The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts brings you campy chaos — minus all the damage — with a screening of the 1968 Japanese monster movie “Destroy All Monsters,” featuring live music from Goldrush. “Destroy All Monsters,” the ninth film in the original “Godzilla” series, features a race of female aliens taking control of Earth’s monsters — including Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra, Anguirus and Minilla — in an attempt to destroy the human race. Goldrush will compose a soundtrack to play live alongside the movie. Expect rampant destruction, overdramatic acting, explosions and, naturally, a boatload of terrifying creatures when “Destroy All Monsters” screens at the museum on Friday, Nov. 9, at 6:30 p.m. $5-$8. vmfa.museum.
