Legendary bluesman B.B. King has been deemed worthy of recognition by Mayor Doug Wilder, as he has proclaimed the day of King’s Sunday, May 11, concert at the Landmark Theater “B.B. King Day.” The two have a lot in common. Both men have left their mark in their areas of interest and still cling to what’s left of the magic they wielded back in the day. The 76-year-old guitarist is just a year younger than Wilder, and both men remain quite spry and love to be the center of attention. For King and Wilder, the thrill hasn’t gone. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $45-$55. 646-4213 or visit www.ticketmaster.com.
