Critic Misses Mark on Excellent “Arcadia”

Might not a critic reviewing the work of arguably the best living playwright in the English language be expected to do a little homework before his own “exercise in intellectual masturbation” (“Shouts and Snores,” Arts & Culture, Oct. 27)? Read a synopsis later, when the work itself has been in print for years? I think we can recognize one of these two members of the audience who contributed the snores, in spite of all the shouts. Though we both had seen the play before, after seeing this excellent production, we immediately made arrangements to return the next night.
