Christian Rennie, 10

St. Christopher's

Christian uses his music to help others. He has participated in group performances at retirement homes and hospitals since he was 5. At 6, he played solo for a local retirement home where his great-grandmother lived. He now routinely plays for retirement homes, hospitals and schools.

“I love playing the violin because I can go around and make people happy with my music,” Christian says.

Christian also loves working with younger children. During a recent school holiday, he spent time at The Steward School, sharing his violin expertise with music classes. Last year, he was the “violin angel” in Theatre IV’s Christmas production. He is also one of the youngest members of the All Saints Boys’ Choir.

“He’s a fabulous role model for other students,” Carreras says. “Younger students look up to him because he inspires them to work as hard as he does and dares them to love playing as much as he does.”
