Here’s your chance to get uncomfortably close to Anthony Hopkins in a restraint mask.

Hannibal Productions and casting director Billy Dowd are searching for extras for “Hannibal,” the sequel to the Academy-Award-winning film “The Silence of the Lambs.” The production company is looking for men, women and children of all ages, races and descriptions to portray FBI agents, nurses, doctors, tourists, dog walkers, bicyclists, joggers, stewardesses, photographers, golfers, waiters and waitresses, car and truck drivers, gardeners, police officers, store owners, general passersby on the street and others. No word on whether the production is looking for “victims.”

Those interested should bring a recent, non-returnable photograph (Polaroid, snapshot, passport photo, etc., which shows you clearly) to the Shops at Willow Lawn at West Broad Street and Willow Lawn Drive on Fri. June 2 or Sat. June 3. Drop the photo off between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. and fill out an application/registration form.

“Hannibal” will shoot in the Richmond area from mid-June to the end of July.
