The Cashmere Jungle Lords’ first gig was opening for Joe “King” Carasco and the Crowns on May 17, 1984, at Rockitz Nightclub. 30 years later, the group is still entertaining Richmond audiences. It’s released a number of albums, toured the East Coast dozens of times, played big-name festivals including FloydFest and the CMJ Music Fest, and has opened for such notable acts as the Who, Bruce Hornsby, Buckwheat
Zydeco and They Might Be Giants. More recently, the Jungle Lords have had their music featured on numerous television shows, including “Bad Girls Club” and “The Real World.” And they just placed 13 songs on the Showtime series “Shameless,” starring William H. Macy. For its 30th anniversary show, the band will play its blend of rock, blues and country music for fans old and new. The Cashmere Jungle Lords
