is the last place we expected to find Sunday brunch. The West End chophouse is better known as, well, a chophouse. You know, steaks and such. Even Mark Rizzo of Buckhead’s is surprised at how well they’ve done since they started serving brunch Oct. 15. Rizzo says at least 120 people showed up for the restaurant’s second Sunday at bat. You’ll find tried-and-true brunch items such as eggs benedict and crepes, as well as favorites like jumbo lump crabcakes. Of course, it wouldn’t be Buckhead’s without including steak and eggs. Brunch is served 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 8510 Patterson Ave. 750-2000. You won’t find any eggs benedict at in the Fan. But the basement restaurant has added a couple of new dishes, including the spicy orange shrimp and vegetables over buckwheat noodles. Open for dinner every day at 5 p.m., except Monday. 2329 W. Main St. 340-1975. Fish market or restaurant? The sleek, new Limani Mediterranean Grill in Carytown is sort of a combination of both. Executive chef Matthew Tlusty, who was executive chef at the Berkeley and worked at other area restaurants, says Limani attempts to be a true Mediterranean grill, specializing in whole fish caught around the world. The menu varies with availability, but some of the offerings include loup de mer (trout) from the Aegean Sea, Dover sole from Holland and rainbow trout from Maine.
