Broadway in Richmond Season Announced

"Book of Mormon" coming in November

Broadway in Richmond announced its 2014-2015 season today, and it’s anchored by one of the funniest musicals in recent history — “Book of Mormon,” by the creative team behind the animated television show “South Park” and “Avenue Q.”

“The Book of Mormon” will play in a limited one-week run in early November. The New York Times calls it “the best musical of the century” and Entertainment Weekly says it’s the “funniest musical of all time.”

The season also features “Million Dollar Quartet,” “Sister Act,” “Chicago The Musical” and “Memphis” with all productions taking place at the Altria Theater.

Dates for the performances are as follows:

“The Book Of Mormon” – November 4 – 9, 2014

“Million Dollar Quartet” – January 16 – 17, 2015

“Sister Act” – February 13 – 14 , 2015

“Chicago The Musical” – March 13 – 14, 2015

“Memphis” – April 24 – 25, 2015

Subscriptions for the 2014-2015 season are now available for purchase at (804) 592-3401 and BroadwayInRichmond.com. Patrons may also purchase group tickets by calling (804) 592-3401 Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

You can subscribe now and see all five shows this season for as low as $215. Tickets for individual shows will go on sale as each performance date approaches, according to the group’s press release.
