Purge for the Library
In some states, every vice enjoyed by man — liquor, cheeseburgers, pharmaceuticals and Starbucks — can be attained without getting out of your car. On Saturday, Feb. 25, between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m., the Friends of the Richmond Public Library will offer a more virtuous drive-through — one that will help you purge instead of splurge. All donations of hardbacks, paperbacks, books on tape, videos, LPs and CDs made to the Main Library at 101 East Franklin St. are tax-deductible and will beef up either the library’s circulation or its Big Book Sale in April. — Valley Haggard
