Big Lebyrdski Festival 2019

Friday, Nov. 8 – Saturday, Nov. 9

We all know that “The Big Lebowski” is one of the greatest American film comedies of all time. Why else have fans been holding annual festivals to celebrate it ever since the Coen brothers released the movie in 1998? Nearly every line is quotable. Once again, Richmonders will abide with a two-night weekend celebrating all things Duder, Donnie, Walter and Jesus. There’s a bowling party on Friday night at River City Roll (VIPs sold out) and on Saturday, a bathrobe bar crawl through Carytown, a screening of the film and costume contest at the Byrd with an afterparty at Citizen Burger featuring live music. The movie plays at 8 p.m. at the Byrd. $15 in advance, $20 at the door. For information, visit byrdtheare.org.
