In almost 11 years of operation, husband-and-wife team Katie Davis and Fred Pinckard have become known as much for their bold style as their reputation for consistent work. The couple now works with three additional artists who play off each others’ strengths. Davis adds that their manager, Philip Armstrong, makes a point to remember every client’s name. “You’re going to have something on you permanently,” Davis says, “and you’re going to remember where you were and what the feeling was like when you got that done.” Another Richmond mainstay, River City Tattoo, now has five locations in the area in addition to its spot on Boulevard.
