Bombshell is Richmond-based, but it has a definite flavor of Vegas. Owner Melissa Black spoke to Style just before starting her day at her salon’s western outpost — in downtown Las Vegas. Zappos Chief Executive Tony Hsieh invited the salon, which has a pinup culture vibe, to help revive the neighborhood, Black says. “I grew up in Arizona. Vegas was always a big part of being a kid growing up. We were literally dropped off at Circus Circus.” Black offers spa services like sugaring, a hair-removal technique, and back and fanny facials that aren’t offered anywhere else in Richmond. Micro-blading and tattoos are next on the agenda, she says.
