Second Place: Silver Bullets

Third Place: Big Mama Shakes

Red Light Romeo — which also won best cover band — is made up of Andrew Saunders, Dave Dixon, Bill Dirr, Wiley Long and Joe Parrett. “Our priority is always ensuring that the audience is having as much fun as we are,” singer Saunders says. “We will literally play anything as long as it’s a good time. And I mean anything: From Taylor Swift to Slipknot to Sir Mix-A-Lot and everything in-between!” The band is venturing into original material for the first time this spring. Drawing the second-most votes is Silver Bullets, which bills itself as a “premiere wedding and party band.” And Big Mama Shakes, which writes and plays its own songs, is a rock and soul band that will get you dancing. As Style Calendar Editor Christ Bopst writes, they “exude a life-affirming appeal that’s at the heart and soul of all good music.”
