Best Place to Get Slimed This Week: Science After Dark at the Science Museum

Friday, March 9

Maybe you’re a kid and slime is your jam, or maybe you’re an adult and so tired of reading slime online that you want tangible slime to squeeze between your fingers. Science After Dark at the Science Museum of Virginia is holding a Slime Night that should do the trick: They’re about to get gooey with approximately 80 gallons of all kinds of slime: glitter slime, galaxy slime, fluffy slime, Lego slime, which will be featured at 20 stations with demonstrations and recipes available, too. Afterward, you can head to the Dome for an all-live Cosmic Expedition planetarium show followed by a screening of a slime classic, the 1984 original version of “Ghostbusters.” Or check out the new interactive, travel technology exhibit “Going Places” that opened recently. Admission for Science After Dark is $10, additional dome features are $5. 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. smv.org.
