Lex’s is known for its registry as much as its eye-catching dresses. Owner Lisa McSherry says she didn’t want women to fear that other women might show up at the same event wearing the same dress purchased from the same small boutique. “We register for proms and for formal events in general,” she says. “That’s really what sets us apart from the rest and keeps people coming in.”
