There are a lot of Short Pumpers who love music. And you know they love having live music closer to home, so they don’t have to drive all the way into the city.
For years, Innsbrook After Hours has been booking a full slate of shows, particularly during the summer, at its sprawling outdoor venue that holds 8,500 people, with plenty of parking in adjacent lots.
“From a booking standpoint, we try to be diverse,” says spokesman Adam Klein. “We definitely do quite well with country and have some large country acts coming in like Kane Brown, Little Big Town and Brantley Gilbert. We also have more classic acts [such as Earth Wind and Fire (on July 31) and Boyz II Men o(n Aug. 21)] and plenty of the more current acts come through, like John Butler Trio.”
Season tickets remain a popular option for some concertgoers, while general admission season passes also do well for those locals who come regularly, thanks to early-bird pricing, Klein notes. The organizers offer early bird admission pricing for most shows, which is basically a discounted ticket price for the first week of sale.
The next show is Kane Brown with guest Ryan Hurd on May 31.
