Best Local Actor

First Place: Fred Iacovo

Second Place: Evan Nasteff

Third Place: Scott Wichmann

With a résumé extending back to his graduation from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1990, Fred Iacovo is a stalwart on the local scene who’s never been as ubiquitous as Nasteff and Wichmann — who tied for third last year. Iacovo received great reviews for his starring turn as an abusive husband in “Unexpected Tenderness,” a co-production of 5th Wall and Chamberlayne Actors Theatre. But he may be more familiar to Richmonders for regular appearances in commercials for Dominion and Wal-Mart. Evan Nasteff was a sparring sibling in TheatreLab’s “Bad Jews” recently and will star in Quill’s “Twelfth Night” this summer before leaving town for greener pastures. And the consistently awesome Wichmann wowed audiences in the one-man “This Wonderful Life” for Virginia Rep over the holidays and will lead the charge as John Adams in “1776” in September.
