That’s the case of Short Pump Heating & Air, which came out on top with voters. “We try to hire absolutely the best people and we have the best office staff for scheduling,” says co-owner Matt Seay. His father is an HVAC veteran who started the company a little more than 12 years ago. Short Pump’s 15 employees cover most of the Richmond area as far south as Petersburg. Woodfin, a venerable player in the market, is identified by its German shepherd Faithful Friend logo. James River Heating & Air is another company that ranks well among the larger ones in the field.
