At Serendipity, voters’ favorite hair salon, Rebekah Howard says she enjoys being a full-time stylist and owner. “I’ve found that having everything in place, I can give my clients 100 percent of my time,” she says. “One thing I enjoy is being a positive part of someone’s life. A lot of women struggle with seeing their true beauty. I believe in educating my guests not only about what will look good on them but also how to re-create it at home.” Howard also believes in being honest about what styles work better with different facial structures and lifestyles, and she encourages women of middle age and older to not limit themselves to “safe” hairstyles. Hall of Fame winner Erika Mihalovich, formerly of Bombshell Brazilian Waxing & Beauty Lounge, has moved on to Look salon in Bon Air.
