Going to the dentist might not be anyone’s favorite activity, but voters find River Run Dental pleasant enough. Its website reads like a spa’s — with promises of “a blissful experience, where common stresses are left behind.” Marketing director Leslie Blackwell says it’s Richmond’s only spa dentistry, where the patient’s comfort is valued during procedures that she acknowledges are “traditionally not so great.” A complimentary comfort menu brings aromatherapy, essential oils, blankets and neck and eye pillows to your teeth cleaning or procedure. It will mark 11 years in June with four dentists, but new patients are welcome — hopefully within the week, Blackwell says.
