Third Place (Tie): The Tobacco Company, Society Social Club and Rigby’s Jig
For the sixth year in a row, the downtown hotspot Off the Hookah can call itself Richmond’s best dance club, according to the Best of Richmond voters. What gives it staying power while other dance clubs come and go? “The experience, of course,” bar manager Nick Leskowyak says. “Top-notch DJs, rambunctious bartenders, as well as our MC. Put all that together and it’s one a hell of good time!” In a town that sometimes feels bereft of places to dance, Off the Hookah strives to provide “that big city, VIP experience, nightclub throw-down” Leskowyak says. We’ll raise a Jäger Bomb to that! Coming in second is Babes of Carytown, which won in the best gay bar category, and tied for third are the Tobacco Company, Society Social Club and Rigby’s Jig.
