Taking your car to the mechanic can be enough to send you into a state of deep panic and suspicion. But not for Cartech customers, owner David Dance says. The 9-year-old business runs on referrals, and honesty is the trait that keeps people coming back. “Honesty, integrity and professionalism are number one,” he says. “I’m not going to try to sell people a bunch of goods they don’t need.” And it has the nicest facilities in the area, Dance adds — a kids’ playroom and a shuttle service. Dance has been in the business for 41 years and recently cut back by selling the half of his business to a longtime employee. “I’ve got some gray hair, and I’m looking forward to retirement,” he adds. But until then, anything from an oil change and state inspection to a full engine replacement is on the garage docket.
