As Richmond’s only black-tie event that allows pets, the Fur Ball raised more than $425,000 last year for the medical treatment of more than 2,000 animals. Held at the Jefferson Hotel with a cocktail reception, dinner and auctions, the event’s honorary chairs included Ginger and her humans, Gov. Bob McDonnell and first lady Maureen.
