Spring is emerging in Oregon Hill, the home of Richmond’s grandest cemetery. Most of the trees are still dormant, but this magnolia is in full bloom.
As I took this shot I noticed the pedals blowing off rapidly, and I knew this beauty was fleeting. The light-bulb moment wasn’t lost on me that I was standing among a sea of gray headstones.
