As It Aziza

Unlike some of the other artists in The Richmond Jazz Society’s Guest Educators Concert Series, Aziza has actually worked as an educator, giving lessons to a young lady named Alicia J. Augello-Cook, who changed her last name to Keys and has done pretty well for herself. New York native Aziza has also worked with Ahmad Jamal, Natalie Cole and Ray Bryant. It’s easy to see why they were attracted to her engaging playing style, which is featured, along with her spoken word vocals, on her latest CD, “Jazzsoetry.” Linda “Aziza?VbCrLf Williams performs at the Capital Ale House Tuesday, June 10, at 7 p.m. $10-$15. 780-ALES – Craig Belcher
