I appreciate reading the information that Maryland and Virginia are vying for Northrop Grumman's new headquarters (“Are Anti-Gay Policies Bad for Business?” Street Talk, March 3). I am shocked to hear that Virginia's anti-discrimination order for state hiring, under Gov. Robert McDonnell, has erased sexual orientation from its list that (finally) included gender, race and religion. And that a Maryland senator has written to the company urging the choice of Maryland for this reason.
