Bartenders, students and a guy in drag — no, it’s not a list of people you hit on during that weekend you’d like to forget. They’re all members of a new dance company led by choreographer Christina Fitch (front left), debuting at the Firehouse Theatre Project May 31. The group, called the XF Company of Dance, promises a different style of dance, derived from a mixture of backgrounds and methods. Fitch, who teaches hip-hop dance at a local studio, describes the company’s movements as “more than modern or lyrical,” with a broad appeal. The company’s first production is called “RED,” and starts at 7 p.m. Other shows are June 1 at 9:30 p.m. and June 2 at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $13. 355-2001. S
