If you’re into threeways, put on your mask and head to the NYE 2024 Masquerade Celebration at Switch, Nama and Juan’s Rooftop. Check out multiple immersive environments and stages for Pyro Circus fire performances, 20 DJs, interactive art installations, circus arts, performances arts, outdoor pyro-sculptures, live painting, bars and libation stations, food trucks and vendors. Hop in the way-back machine for New Year’s Eve 1983 at the Get Tight Lounge. Your ticket gets you a midnight toast along with all the ‘80s music –think Bowie, The Cramps, Madonna, Violent Femmes, R.E.M.—your little legwarmer-wrapped heart desires. The Gatsby Gala at the Hoffheimer promises to be the bees’ knees of New Year’s soirees. For those ready to rocket into 2024, there’s the Cosmic Countdown: An Intergalactic New Year’s Eve Party at the Hippodrome. Sponsored by WearRVA (their tagline is “Rockin’ the Runway for a Cause”) means guests should dress to reflect their personal style. Ticket holders will be handed a glass of bubbly upon arrival, setting the tone for dancing all night long to the hottest beats from across the galaxy thanks to DJ Duffy. History buffs can ring in the new year with the Second Annual Time Traveler’s Ball at Révéler Experiences in Carytown. Come dressed as your favorite historical or fictional character to enjoy an open bar, heavy snacks ranging from classic comfort food to avant-garde culinary creations for a gastronomic adventure through time and a midnight toast.
