The Score

Posted on Tue, Oct 20, 2015 at 11:37 AM

-1 Former U.S. senator from Virginia Jim Webb complains about the lack of attention he receives during CNN’s Democratic debate. On the bright side, it gave Bernie Sanders more time to yell at the neighborhood kids to get off his lawn.

+2 A day after the debate, Republican frontrunner Donald Trump draws thousands of fans to a rally at the Richmond International Raceway complex. Like that place needed any more exhaust fumes.

-4 But confrontations at the rally reach a low when an apparent Trump supporter spits in a protester’s face, with video of the incident circulating widely. It was even more painful to watch than “Celebrity Apprentice.”

+1 In a study of the 150 most populated U.S. cities, WalletHub ranks Richmond as having the most grocery stores per capita. Which is no surprise. In Short Pump, kids come out of the womb asking for bread and milk.

+3 The Martin Agency lands the Land O’Lakes account, Adweek reports, winning the business away from its ad shop of 80 years. It was like a hot knife through their hearts of butter.
