The Score

Posted on Tue, May 13, 2014 at 12:10 PM

+6 The Score comes to you from Style's new headquarters in Manchester, where we've moved next door to Plant Zero. We're near warehouse lofts, a coffee roaster, art studios, microbreweries and the river. Somehow we ended up in Portland.

+8 With cards, flowers and brunches, moms across Richmond are shown signs of appreciation on Mother's Day. You still didn't do enough, you ungrateful little punk.

-1 Citing costs, logistics and other plans in the works, the Byrd Theatre Foundation turns down a donation of seating from a Cannes, France, theater. On an unrelated note, free movie tickets will be available from local chiropractors.

+1 Two weeks after Wegmans announces that it's coming to Richmond, Whole Foods says its second store here will be inside city limits, on land owned by the spice company C.F. Sauer at 2000 W. Broad St. Is it too much to request vanilla-scented carts?

+3 The local advertising community comes together for the Richmond Ad Club's annual awards celebration called the Richmond Show: Quest for the Cannonball. We'll reveal all the winners — right after the break.
