The Score

Posted on Tue, Jan 28, 2014 at 12:47 PM

-7 Before pleading not guilty to corruption charges in federal court, former Gov. Bob McDonnell says he's on cholesterol medication, while his wife says reveals she's on prescriptions for "concentration and anxiety." So much for retail therapy.

-1 A new thread on the social news website Reddit called "Your Daily Annoyances in RVA" gains traction quickly, drawing gripes mostly about bad driving in Richmond. Posting pictures of snow covered patio furniture came in a close second.

+1 The Budweiser Clydesdales make majestic appearances locally at Stony Point Fashion Park, West Broad Village and Carytown. And they still couldn't find shoes that fit.

+4 Timed for the legend's birthday, classical music floods the streets and businesses of Carytown on Sunday for the Mozart Festival. Unfortunately our requests to hear "Rock Me Amadeus" went unanswered.

+1 Staking its claim in Short Pump, Tom Leonard's Farmer's Market unveils the official change of its street to Tom Leonard Drive. Not bad, though it would have been way more fun to give directions to an E-I-E-I-O Way.
