-3 RVA Beer Week — which lasts 10 days — comes to a close. For you, maybe.

-4 Just before the election, Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" takes aim at Virginia's gubernatorial race, empathizing with voters having to choose between "poop" and "pond scum." They forgot to inform us which was which.

+1 Governor-elect Terry McAuliffe taps Mayor Dwight Jones and bestselling author John Grisham to serve as co-chairs of his inauguration committee. If only Grisham's next legal thriller could solve the whodunit in the Executive Mansion.

-3 The results of the race for attorney general are still undetermined, with only a handful of votes separating Mark Obenshain and Mark Herring. If things get any closer, we just might have to take a look at these hanging chads with an ultrasound.

+6 Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell serves as keynote speaker for a program commemorating Veterans Day at the Virginia War Memorial. On this day of remembrance, this is a government shutdown we can live with.
